Portofino Coast celebrates its 30 years
- Consorzio Portofino Coast celebrated its 30 years
with a gala dinner at Excelsior Palace Hotel on last February 5.
With the presence of many of its members, mayors and representatives of local institutions, sponsors and many dear friends, Franco Orio, President of Portofino Coast, cut the cake of 30 years, during an emotional night.
An important goal, he says, a great opportunity to get together, to talk, remembering the past and looking at the future with renewed enthusiasm. Because Portofino Coast is not just a place
First of all it is an idea, a wonderful idea born thirty years ago in the mind of a small group of hoteliers
, an ingenious twist, aimed at extending the brand of Portofino to all this extraordinary stretch of Ligurian Coast surrounded by the waters of the Gulf of Tigullio,
starting from the towns of Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure and Rapallo, to extend towards Sestri Levante, Moneglia and the Paradiso Gulf.
It’s an important idea
, more topical than ever for the tourist development of our territory
Since 1987, Consorzio Portofino Coast, while accepting the representatives of local Municipalities, works under a private point of view to promote the destination, focusing on the quality of a sustainable tourism.
An innovative project that over time inspired many other similar organizations in Italy.
In Portofino Coast, today as in the past
– Orio continues – we value the concepts of hospitality, professionalism and quality
In a beautiful place like this, local tourist professionals have been able to honor these principles, aware that their job is to improve everyday trying to meet the needs of the Guests.
After 30 intense years, during which the name of Portofino Coast has been brought around the world with countless success and satisfaction, the Consorzio now wants to celebrate its past
, remembering all those who contributed to writing this story. But it also wants to look at the future
, continuing to play its role of cohesion and leadership towards new challenging goals
We must look forward with renovated energy because there are so many things to do for the tourist development of our destination.
Tourism is the primary resource for this territory, but we always need to work together deploying new energies and ideas to be up with the times, in order to maintain the high reputation of this destination.
