Sestri Levante

The city of the two seas

Stemma del Comune di Sestri Levante

Sestri Levante

Just a narrow strip of land connects the colorful resort town to the old Island, creating two splendid, separate bays: the Bay of Fairytales, with its stretch of sandy beach, and the Bay of Silence, where the typical fishing boats, or gozzi, rest on the beach next to salt-covered fishing nets drying in the sun.
This is Sestri Levante, a place whose clean, understated beauty is reflected in its calm beaches and in the ways of the town centre, enlivened by characteristic shops and cafés.
The surrounding green hills dotted with splendid antique villas and charming little churches lead the way to the rugged beauty of Punta Manara, at the farthest east end of Tigullio Gulf.
