History
Probably founded in the prehistoric era, it began Family Fieschi’s feud in 1158 and from the 14th century it passed to the Republic of Genoa.
Over the centuries the main activity in Zoagli, apart from fishing, was the silk manufacturing which is to this day one of the flagships of the village.
On 27th December 1943 Zoagli was almost completely destroyed by the Allies’ bombings, with many victims among the inhabitants.
