AVETO REGIONAL NATURAL PARK

The Aveto Valley is the most mountainous of the Ligurian Apennine Valleys. The waters of the Aveto stream run through the valley, which is surrounded by the highest peaks of the Ligurian Apennine range, topped by Mount Maggiorasca at 1.804 meters.

This lovely setting offers salubrious air, beautiful landscapes and wonderful natural attractions including Alpine meadows, beech and fir woods, green fields, rock formations and wetlands.

The Valley’s main town is Santo Stefano d’Aveto, a resort known for tourism which is popular during the summer months due to the pleasant, cool climate, the excursions it offers and for skiing during winter.
