Built in 1931 by Cantero family,
a dynasty of show-business entrepreneurs,
since the beginning Cantero Theatre was thought out and designed
as a great, ambitious theatre,
fit both for theatre performances and film shows.

The original project , designed by the engineer Ido Gozzano,
drowns on the traditional themes of nineteenth-century hall,
like the proscenium, the double series of boxes and the gallery,
disposed horse-shoe shape, on a rectangular stalls.
The hall (up to 1.000 seats) and the stage are suitable
for demanding performances.

The Theatre is one of the most recent examples of “Teatro all’Italiana”.
Halls and additional rooms presents interesting decorations.

Nowadays the Cinema-Theatre Cantero,
continuously updated in its technologies, proposes theatre seasons,
concerts, operetta and variety shows,
and it is venue of important civil and cultural events of the area.
