U Giancu is a charming country restaurant located up in the hills, 4 km. from the centre of Rapallo, where Fausto and his children Emanuele, GB and Martino greet guests with a friendly welcome. Famous for its impressive collection of over 1000 original illustrations, the restaurant has become a true cartoon museum. Surrounded by olive trees, the restaurant offers outdoor dining in the garden, where springtime lunches and summer dinners feature creative dishes made with vegetables, mushrooms, homemade soups and pastas, as well as a variety of meats. Seating capacity: 90 indoors, 60 on the patio Specialities: Wild herbs and grasses from Mount Portofino are signature items on the menu, together with the homemade bread and focaccia, vegetable flans, Genoese minestrone, wild porcini, finferli and other mushrooms, lamb chops, suckling pig fillet con applesauce, apple tart tartin, chocolate pear cake, homemade ice cream and sorbet. Closing day: Closed lunch every day (except Sunday) and Wednesdays (except in August). Credit cards accepted: All major cards except American Express. |
